Faridabad: Exhibiting distinctive braveness, an 8-year-old from Faridabad foiled a theft attempt no matter being threatened by two males, one among whom pointed a pistol at her.
On Thursday night time, 8-year-old Kritika was sitting on the counter of her family’s retailer – Ravi Bhati {{Hardware}} on Sohna Road – and ending her school work when three males arrived on a motorcycle. Two of the lads, who had their faces coated with helmets and masks, accosted Kritika and one among them pointed a country made pistol at her, demanding that she inform them the place the money was saved.
A video, captured on CCTV cameras put in inside the retailer, displays Kritika remaining calm similtaneously the lads push her chair and open a drawer in quest of cash. Refusing to give up the scenario of the money, the lady reached for a bell near the counter, alerting her family members of their residence upstairs.
Realising what had occurred and seeing the family members approaching, the two males climbed on their bike, which was saved working by their third accomplice, and fled.
Kritika’s actions have earned her reward from her family and neighbours, who applauded her bravery and the calmness confirmed by her in coping with the state of affairs.
The family has not filed a police criticism.
